I'm reading Hanif Kureishi's <My son, the Fanatic>

I want to know the meaning of fastidious face as an accompaniment.

<Each time Parvez took a drink, the boy winced, or made a fastidious face as an accompaniment.>

Please, let me know it.

One of the definitions of fastidious is hard to please. So perhaps he wrinkled his nose or curled his lip or raised one eyebrow -- or all three and more. In any case, this hard-to-please expression, or a wince, accompanied every sip of his drink.
