feedback sensitivity

What does it mean?
"If this happens repeatedly, even for only five hours a week, his cortisol feedback sensitivity increases."

I think you have this parsed incorrectly. Feedback goes with cortisol.

If whatever the passage is discussing happens repeatedly, even if this is for as little as five hours a week, the individual's sensitivity to cortisol feedback increases. (Cortisol is produced by the adrenal gland and has an effect on various systems in the body.)
