feels colder

  • GuitarMaestro is right. "He felt cold" is a complete sentence - "He felt colder" is not. "Colder" would have to be followed up with something to express "colder than what?" ie:

    "In the chilly climate, he felt colder than he thought possible" OR
    "In the chilly climate, he felt colder than he ever had at home"
     
    The sentence could stand alone if you preceded it with the comparison, i.e.

    He felt cold at the beach. In the mountains, he felt colder.
