Hello,

How would you translate "un festival de désordre et de bruit" in English ?

I'm sure "a mess and noise's festival" doesn't work but is it right if I write

" a mess and noise's display" ??

thanks

The possessive apostrophe doesn't really work here. Is this meant in a figurative sense?

Maybe "a festival of mess/disorder and noise" could work. It really depends what we're actually talking about. :)

Thank, I always have problem when putting the possessive apostrophe, but does the word "festival" apply for this sentence.

The text speaks about the arrival of someone in a city and the author says : "c'est un festival de désordre et de bruit" . I think he wants us to imagine a place where there are lot of noise and disorder but I'm not sure it's good to use the word "festival"

    thanks
