I'm transalting a bibliographyfrom French to English in Chicago Manual of Style format but can't find how to cite a film based on a novel

Original bibliographical entry:
Paris brûle-t-il ? de René Clément, 1966. D’après l’œuvre originale de Dominique Lapierre et Larry Collins parue en 1964.

My effort so far: Paris brûle-t-il ? Dir. René Clément, 1966. After the original by Dominique Lapierre and Larry Collins. 1964.

    Hi Ecossais,

Not being familiar with the style guide you mention, I would just say either:

"based on the novel of the same name by..."
    "adapted from the novel..." etc.

Someone else may know better, but the above seem acceptable to me if you are stuck.

Thanks, Beluga Lotus - great name by the way.

Yes, I came up with based on the novel but perhaps "adapted from the novel..."
