fish cooked in a rich and creamy sauce

I am wondering how best to translate the above culinary description (for a fish curry).

The problem is that "rich" in English includes the notion of tasty, very filling but almost nauseating as its so heavy.

My attempt:
du poisson cuit dans une sauce épaisse à base de crème.

Thanks in advance for any ideas or help

    "riche" in the french culinary world does not carry this notion of almost nauseating as in english (one would have to say "trop riche" to obtain the same effect).
    I would go for Vomact suggestion.
