    I think he fits them, or puts them in. Fits suggests a bit more adjustment than puts in, which suggests just putting them in position.

    Also, "mounts" doesn't sound idiomatic in this context. You might use it, but it sounds odd when referring to a human being; it sounds almost as odd to me as using "install" would, though I'm sure a doctor/surgeon/dentist might use install and mount freely.
