When answering questions about reading comprehension, should the short answers be in uppercase or lowercase?

In the example above, which answer is correct?

    Native speakers would not repeat the word people in answer to such a question. And even a one-word answer has to be treated as a sentence, so it needs an initial capital and a full stop/period.

    How many people are there in your family?​

    There are five people in my family. :thumbsup:

    Then what about this answer?

    When answering questions about reading comprehension, should the short answers be in uppercase or lowercase?
    In that context, either is fine. I would probably use lower-case.

    And don’t use a period after each choice.
