Context:

"The sporty 3-door comes with a range of engines from the fizzy, frugal 1.1L to the sporty, rorty 1.5L turbo “ZZZ” model"

Does anyone know what "fizzy" means?

Thanks!

normally, you would translate "fizzy" with "pétillant" or "gazeuse", but here I think maybe "dynamique"?

    Hi Pandou,

as I searched fizzy in the dictionnary and forum, it came to me that fizzy is translated by "pettilant" and is mainly used for "boissons petillantes/gazeuses", like water etc.

Here it could mean "dynamique" or simply "pétillant", highlighting the "moderated power" of the engine. Otherwise they would have used "awfully powerful" I guess lol :p.
