flat sales

Hello,

I have a problem understanding the meaning of flat in the following sentence:

"So far the company has divested or sold a majority stake in low-margin and non-strategic businesses with over $ 2.5 billion in annual sales, thus being able to grow earnings at flat sales."

Any help? Could flat mean stagnating or not growing or am I completely wrong? The company produces chillers so I am sure it has nothing to do with flats.

Thanks in advance.

Yes, I agree with you. Imagine a chart detailing a company's sales and the line going flat to show that sales aren't increasing.
