Hello. Could you please tell me if "flatware" is the right term to use to encompass all utensils (knives, forks, spoons,..) that are put on the table for eating?

For example, can I say "Nice. You've brought plates but I don't see any flatware. Are we going to eat with hands?"

    Yes, I believe flatware is AmE for what I would call cutlery.

    I would say: Are we going to eat with our fingers?
