¿Cómo se traduce "fledge" enel siguiente texto?:

"Numerous entrepreneurs have doomed their fledging companies by accepting money from the wrong investors."

Muchas gracias, y saludos.

    Debe ser : fledgling companies.

A fledgling is a young bird or offspring of an animal.

Thanks for your help, but, according to the text in a Harvard Business School Press book, it is fledging, not fledgling.

Any attempt for a literal translation?

    Saludos.

In English, fledging, in this context, would mean that the companies of young entrepreneurs have great potential. Es decir que, the entrepreneurs are so anxious to make their companies (which have great potential) succeed that they accept money from any source willing to donate.

Thanks again, but I still don't see the "big picture" of the expression to understand it completely. I would appreciate a literal translition, I guess it would help me.

    Saludos.

    Hola Rodsa:

"Numerous entrepreneurs have doomed their fledging companies by accepting money from the wrong investors."
