Hi,
During playing marbles, we often use our thumb to propel a ball. Can we say "flip the marble with your thumb"? If not, how to express the meaning? Similar sentence is "flip out a ball of paper with her forefinge to one student sitting in front". I don't know whether "flip" works.
Thanks a lot!!

In the game of marbles, I would call that shooting a marble. In general, I would say that was "flicking" not "flipping" something.
