For / As for / About something...

Hi helpers

I often come across sentences that start with the phrases like "For something", "As for something" or "About something".

e.g.)
1. For the record I strongly agree with you.

2. As for the record I strongly agree with you.

3. About the record I strongly agree with you.

Here, "For", "As for", and "About ~" are inter-changeable?

    As for the record would be reffering (comparing) to something else.
    AS in "This tape has bad music on it, as for the resord, it plays the music very well."

    Oh and, "about the record" wouldn't make sense.
    You would use about when you are starting a conversation about a topic.
    For example, "About the test yesterday, wasn't it hard?"
    Or, you could just say "Wasn't the test yesterday hard."
