forces of Mother Nature

Senior Member
Hello, people. I want to say 'protect their collections from natural disasters'? Can the bold phrase mean natural disasters? Also, is 'forces' better than 'force'? Many thanks!

Admission charges allow museums to better protect their collections against the forces of Mother Nature.

The forces of (Mother) nature could mean gravity, electromagnetism, the weak nuclear force, the strong nuclear force, and possibly a recently proposed "fifth force."

If you mean 'natural disasters', I think you should say exactly that.
