Saludos,

Why is it that some people say,

"Was I supposed to go to that meeting today, I forget."

Would it mean something like,

"Tenia que atender esa reunion hoy, siempre se me olvida."

To me, "I forgot" would sound more natural.

    I guess it does seem weird but that is a natural response. It means what it says; right at this moment I can't remember if we have a meeting today. It is said both ways: I forget if we have a meeting and I can't remember if we have a meeting. It can be said I forgot if we have a meeting, which I suppose would make more sense.
