former, latter, above mentioned, corresponding

(Many words in one thread is better than one at a time, I guess).

1. When writing a text we often need to refer to a previously mentioned word/term, but we want to avoid repetition.
E.g.1) Sono stata a Napoli ed a Milano. Nel "latter" ho visuto due anni. (A proposito e' corretta la frase?)
E.g.2) He owes the Nobel prize to the above mentioned book.

2. "corresponding"
E.g. In order to participate, you have to pay a participation fee and you also
have to pay for accommodation. Are you sure that you want to participate? Can you cover the corresponding expenses?

Deve il Premio Nobel al libro sopracitato.

è sicuro di poter coprire le spese citate?

Non si capisce chi è il destinatario del messaggio, quindi la traduzione può non essere corretta.
