FR: c'est curieux que + mode

I wanted to translate, “It’s strange that one does not hear the national anthem.”

And was surprised when the grammar checker in Word corrected, “C’est curieux qu’on n’entend pas l’hymne nationale” to “C’est curieux qu’on n’entende pas l’hymne nationale.”

Is the subjunctive “de rigueur” in the above?

Thanks in advance for comments. (M)

OK and many thanks for your reply and the useful list.
I'd just never noticed it in writing and it may be difficult to hear the difference, too. (Certainly for me now that my hearing has got so bad!).
    Merci encore ...
