Even as worries about climate change increased, the profits of Big Oil increased by billions.
Hello, my problem here is with tense. I'm not sure that I'm using the correct verb tense for this sentence
"Même si les soucis sur le changement climatique augmentaient, les bénéfices des grandes sociétés pétrolières ont augmenté de milliards."
Does it make sense to use imparfait, then passé composé in this sentence? Or is it better to just use solely passé composé? In my head, there is some kind of insistence that imparfait is better suited for the first half (no idea why haha) but as I think about it more, I'm not as confident about that.
