Hi,

How do you writh dates in French? I want to write "From August 3 to August 12 "
Is this right " (J'ai des vacances) des 3 à 12 août."

Thank you!

I am wondering how one writes out "the first", for example,

    du 1er au 4 octobre 2008

    Is this correct please? Thanks!

    Yep, spot on :)

However, just check with the French speakers if you need to say "jusqu'au".... that's how I always write it, but "au" might be perfectly fine....

    I confirm.

"du 1er au 4 octobre 2008" is perfect for communication. "Jusqu'au" is a bit longer and "heavier" but also possible.

How do I say "from the 18th to the 23rd"
It is in the situation of talking about days of the month.
"I will be in Paris from the 18th to the 23rd"

Please do make your own attempt—it helps us to give an accurate reply.

I would suggest “Je serai à Paris du 18 au 23 avril” (or whichever month it might be).
