Hi there! I am learning French. Can anyone please tell me which one of these two sentences is correct :
1. Il m'a présenté son ami Thomas
2. Il m'a présenté à son ami Thomas

The above question has arisen in my mind because in my French Textbook, there was one construction : Je te présente mon ami Thomas. So, I was wondering why haven't we used the preposition à in this sentence.
 
    • The construction of the verb is présenter qqn à qqn. But keep in mind that the pronoun me (elided to m') may be either direct or indirect, i.e., it may mean either "me" or "to me".

    1. Il m'a présenté son ami Thomas = Il a présenté son ami Thomas "à moi" = He introduced his Friend Thomas to me.
    2. Il m'a présenté à son ami Thomas = Il a présenté "moi" à son ami Thomas = He introduced me to his friend Thomas.
