FR: les poissons habitués aux mers chaudes

Hello,

On le journal 20h, the journalist was speaking about « le réchauffement climatique » and that the temperature of the Mediterranean was « 27 degrès ».The journalist said “les poissons habitués au mer chaude”. Should it not be « habitués à la mer chaude »? Or is it referring to « aux mers chaudes »?

It's the idiomatic way to say it.

We wouldn't say "à la mer chaude"

You may sometimes hear "à une mer chaude", but it's less natural than the first.
