Bonjour! I want to write " The last time that I cooked was a year ago", so would I say La dernière fois que j'ai cuisiné était il ya un ans, ou La dernière fois que j'ai cuisiné il y avait un ans?
The second option is surely wrong. We would use the first one, but more commonly with a slightly different construction: La dernière fois que j'ai cuisiné, c'était il y a un an.
