    Dear all,

I would like to ask you about the Spanish equivalent for "Fraud Unit". For more context, it appears in a crime novel set in Edinburgh and I'd like to know the Spanish institution that correlates to it. Maybe "Hacienda"?

I do not know the nuances of the British taxation system, but it seems that it should be a department inside the HMRC or the Police (I really do not know).

In Spain, Hacienda (official name: Agencia Tributaria) and the police (Policía Nacional) have their own "Unidades Antifraude". I do not know if they have an organic existence or are simply teams dedicated to the fight against tax fraud.

I understand that British system is the same (so Unidad Antifraude would be a good translation in m opinion), but a British correspondent should confirm.
