Hi
I need some help with the translation of fringuellino.
It's used in the context of a children's book, where the grandfather refers to his 5 year old grandson in this way
"Sei pronto per la scuola, fringuellino?"
I though about young man, but I'm not sure that it conveys the "smallness" and maybe flitty nature of the chaffinch. Old chap was another option that I considered but not sure that it really fits with the context Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance
