I know a Spanish term which involves this kind of fruits, we say: frutas de pepita.

Apples and pears are defined as pipfruit and peaches and plums as stonefruit or drupes technically. The pit of a fruit is the stone (hueso) as in a plum and is different from the pips (pepitas) of an apple or pear. Hope that helps rather than confuses!
