    Well, impatient, originally, fulgurant means "which throws bolts of lightning without thunder". By extension, it became "which strongly strikes the mind" and "extremely fast". Therefore, "dazzling" is a possibility in some cases, but not in all: Un style fulgurant would be "a dazzling -or a striking- style", but une réponse fulgurante would be "a split-second answer".Hope I did not wear your patience!
