Hi, every body!!
Is either 'Group of Eight' or 'G-8' is a proper noun?

* G-8 (
France, the United States, the United Kingdom, Russia, Germany, Japan, Italy, and Canada)

In advance, thank you for your help.

    Both forms are proper nouns. They name a specific group of countries. That is why the long form is written "Group of Eight" with capital letters, not "group of eight."
