    Hello everyone!

I'd like to say "Voyager vous permet de gagner en confiance et en estime de soi" (context: gap year)
1-Travelling enables you to gain self-confidence and self-esteem.
2- Travelling enables you to buid self-confidence and self-esteem.

    Thanks a lot.

"gain" and "build" are both fine in this context.

    I think I would say " gain self-confidence/self-esteem" but "to build one's self-confidence/self-esteem"

I would say "confidence", not "self-confidence", especially when "self-esteem" comes just after it.

    'Build' is closer than 'gain'.
