Hi there, I just heard the phrase said by an English speaker who told me it's an idiom, and then I searched online it turned out the authentic one is
slowly, slowly catchy monkey. Have you said or heard the one I heard?

    Softly, Softly is the only version I've heard too, and it was used as the name of a popular police drama on TV many years ago, so it's sort of stuck in the public consciousness.
