“I’ve had the cold in me too, lordling.” Gared pulled back his hood, giving Ser Waymar a
good long look at the stumps where his ears had been.
“Two ears, three toes, and the little finger off
my left hand. I got off light. We found my brother frozen at his watch, with a smile on his face.”
Hi, everyone.
This is A Game of Thrones book. In the underlined sentence, isn't Waymar the one whose ears had been cut off? Where this wiki
says that Gared is the one. Whose ears had been cut off? Thanks.
Gared is past fifty. He lost both ears, three toes and the little finger of his left hand to the cold.

The quote indicates that it is Gared's ears that have been lost - Gared pulls off his own hood and thus reveals the lack of ears. (Obviously Ser Waymar cannot see his (Ser Waymar's) own ears...)
