Hi all,

A customer sent me an email ,and he wrote at the beginning:

Dear xx,
Glad to have you aboard.

Could you please tell me what's the meaning?

Thanks a lot.

It is a common, even trite, metaphor in business and organisational circles, Runnery, meaning that s/he is glad you have joined her/his ship's crew - or a team in a more general sense, and is normally said by a boss to a new employee.
