Hi, Guys.
This is from "Becoming Steve Jobs by BRENT SCHLENDER and RICK TETZELI

‘I don’t know that I can convince people that a tablet is a product category that has real value. But I know that I can convince people they need a better phone.” This suggestion wasn’t made in glorious ignorance of the engineering it would require.

Could you someone please explain the intention of author writing 'glorious ignorance'.
Why does the suggestion require that ignorance?

glorious ignorance means (roughly) complete ignorance. The sentence says that the suggestion wasn't made in glorious ignorance. In other words the suggestion was made despite having an idea of how difficult it would be.
