gluggable wine

    • I can't help with the French, but I would give a different definition for the English. :) To me, "gluggable" means wine that can be drunk in large quantities in a hurry, probably to get drunk. It is probably low-quality and useful only as a means of imbibing alcohol, not valued for its taste. No one would care whether it is pleasant to drink.

    Sadly, I can't help with the French under either interpretation of the word. :(

    Pourquoi pas mais je ne crois pas qu'on dirait cela. Boire du petit lait exprime un contentement, en général quand on a obtenu une gratification, par exemple si quelqu'un dit quelque chose de flatteur sur vous, vous dites "Je bois du petit lait." C'est quelque chose d'abstrait.
    Par contre la proposition de Philippides "Un vin gouleyant" est très bonne. Mais elle ne s'appliquerait pas à un grand vin.

    On dirait plutôt "Qui descend facilement" ou alors la litote "Qui se laisse boire."
