go (back to) home

Do people say "go back to home" or "go back home"?
Like, if I'm on my way home, my friend sees me and asks me where I am headed, so I answer:
1. I'm going home.
2. I'm going back home.
3. I'm going back to home.

I think 3 is wrong. (go back to home sounds wrong to me, I think can't of a situation where we might use this.) And we use 1. if we simply mean we are on our way home. But we may use 2 if we like just left home but forgot something at home, and we are going back to get it.

Do you agree? How do you use it?
