Hello

I would like to know which of the following sentences is correct:

A. Last year my little brother wanted to become a famous inventor, but he's gone off the idea a bit now.

B. Last year my little brother wanted to become a famous inventor, but he's going off the idea a bit now.

Is the expression he's going off the idea a bit correct?

Thank you in advance.

Hello, Vtg. When you ask a question about a choice between two different versions of something, you need to make a choice for yourself first and explain your reasoning.

    Hello Owlman5

I think sentence A sounds correct to me. The problem is the use of now, which implies that the process is underway. I don't know if the present continuous is OK here.

    Thank You in advance
