As a man hugs a woman from behind, Buck comes in.

The man says to Buck: Good timing there, Buck.

What does "there" mean in this context? What's its function or what is it referring to?

Thanks for your help.

'There' when used like this means 'that was'. That was good timing, Buck.
Good timing there, Buck. 'What you did in that moment' was well timed.
