Bonjour,

Je cherche à bien comprendre la phrase suivante :

"Is being attractive in later life less about goosing your prospects in the mating game?"

It is the part in bold letters that I'm especially not sure about.
The author explains before that that a group of older women having a party in a bar seem not to care that they don't attract the attention of men.

Can anyone help?

    In this context, the statement is saying that older people do not expect to find or are not looking for romantic situations.
    Goosing here means to spur on, to move to action.

    Ok, thanks Jim. I thought someone could "spur someone on", and not something such as prospects...
