Hi There,

I´d like to know if the sentences below are correct and commonly used by native speakers of English. If not, which ones are common?

a)I got $100 dollars too little on my salary this month.(I always get $800 dollars, but this month I got only $700.So $100 too little.)

b)I got $70 dollars too much on my salary this month.(I always get $800 dollars, but this month I got $870.So I got $70 too much.)

For some reason they made a mistake on the calculations...

Thank you in advance

They sound fine, but perhaps the first sounds a little stilted. A more common way to say it would be "I was/got shorted $100 on my salary..."

The other two sound fine, but a shorter way of saying the last would be "For some reason, they miscalculated."

Also, the first two could easily incorporate the verbs "underpay" and "overpayed."

"I was overpaid by $70 on my salary..."

    Saludos.
