got in some good runs [skiing]

Nick and I lounged in the Mount Wippamunk base lodge in front of the wood-burning stove. Our sopping-wet jackets and pants hung from hooks on the wall. Rain slashed the windows. But we didn't care about the foul weather; we got in some good runs.

What does this phrase 'got in some good runs' mean? Thank you in advance!

Then they don't care about the weather because their skiing is done, and they had a nice time of it, they enjoyed it, it was pleasant.

When you run or ski, you can have a good run.
When you bike, you can have a good ride.
