Hello,I'm just making sure that "grab" means "to score" in this sentence. Is that correct?

GOAL! James Morrison grabs his second for West Brom, who have 30 mins left against ten-man Chelsea – it's 2-3!

Yes, in this sentence, it means "Morrison gets his second goal for West Brom".

It gives the impression of Morrison having grabbed the opportunity to score by being active and alert.
