    Hello,

Could you help me find the right translation for "grossier personnage"? To give you a bit more context, a man has just made an ungentlemanly comment to a woman and this is what she answers to him. Also, it is set during Victorian times.

    My try: "Uncouth man!"

Thanks in advance for your help!

    How about: 'Such impertinence!'

    Thank you for your answer!

Not a bad idea indeed, but I am looking for something a bit stronger than "impertinent", because the ungentlemanly comment was also lewd.
    Would you have another suggestion?

    Thank you!

I'm no expert on Victorian language, but seems to me "ruffian" was a common insult back then.

Also in a situation like this, a woman might say, "Of all the nerve!" I'm not sure if that expression was used in Victorian times, but it is certainly not new.

Oh, that's perfect! I like "Of all the nerve!" a lot, and I'm keeping "ruffian" at hand too.

Thanks a lot for your help!
