My question is, why are these pronouns added to the end of this phrase ('se' and 'las')?
Quoting the DLE:
"habérselas con alguien o algo
1. loc. verb. coloq. Enfrentarse a él o a ello. Supo que pronto tendría que habérselas CON el juez. "
Why are 'se' and 'las' inserted at the end? Does the 'las' stand for anything, like 'guerras' or so?
Sorry if I formatted the question badly. I hope you can understand the question itself from my description.
Correct me if necessary.
Thanks.
