Hi, in Hong Kong, there’s a hair washing person who washes a customer’s hair before the hairdresser cuts his/her hair. Is there a word for a hair washing person in English? Like a hairdresser is a person who cuts somebody's hair at a salon. Thanks.

Are you sure there's one person who's assigned to only this one task? I'd imagine that it's usually the hairdresser who washes the customer's hair.

Washing hair is usually a job given to a trainee/apprentice. If there is no apprentice, and the person performs the task regularly, I would call them a "hairdresser's assistant", or just "an assistant."
