half bro hugs

Here's a conversation from the movie 'Spider-Man: Homecoming':

Ned: Dude, you have a suit, right? This is going to change our lives. We're going to have Spider-Man swing in, say you guys are tight. And then I get a fist bump or one of those half bro hugs.

What does "half bro hugs" mean? Especially the "half" part I don't understand.

Here is an academic paper on "Hugs":

A half bro hugs is somewhat less than a "bro hug" with the participants further away from each other than they are in the half hug.
