"I now no longer struggle for fame and gain. I only engage in small business dealings among acquaintances and handle negligible investments here and there. In place of the glitz and glamor of fame and gain, I have found fellowship with my brothers and sisters as we come to experience and know God’s word together."

This is from an article on a women's struggling for fame and gain.
Do you know how to understand the two bold parts? What does "handle negligible investments here and there" refer to? Can you explain it in another way for me?

Is the second bold part "I have found fellowship with my brothers and sisters as we come to experience and know God’s word together" grammatically right? If yes, then what is the part of speech and function of "as"? Can you analyze it briefly for me?

Thank you in advance!
