Hi,

I know it should be easy but I'm stuck.
Which tense should I use in this sentence:
He has been working there for 20 years.
He has worked there for 20 years.
???
Thank you in advance!

These two sentence mean, more or less, the same, however in the first sentence there is an emphasis on duration.

Without the time reference, the meaning of the second sentence changes,
"He has worked there" would mean that he (probably) no longer works there, but knows, for instance, what this job involves, etc.
