Hello,
Once again, I would need the opinion of native speakers on a few sentences. Could you please help me? I would simply need you to tell me whether they are acceptable or not for you (or which are acceptable and which are not). As it is for a linguistic dissertation any confirmation or differing view is welcome.
Thanks a lot for your help!!!

a) We have discussed this topic at length last night

b) We have discussed this topic at length this morning.

c) We have discussed this topic at length last year.

d) We have discussed this topic at length a year ago.

e) We have discussed this topic at length last week.

To my non native ears, only answer b is correct.

You need to use past simple with last night, last year, a year ago, last week.

    Hope it helps!

I would use only (b), and that (I think) only in conjunction with another sentence to which it is related in time.

We have discussed this topic at length this morning. Now it is time to talk about something else.

As a stand alone sentence, I would use the simple past (I think).

A: Have you ever talked about the weather?
B: We discussed this topic at length this morning.

For all the others, I would substitute a simple past.
