En esta frase, se refiere a que nunca se acostumbraría o a que alguna vez se acostumbraría? Gracias

You could say "having bodyguards was something she thought she'd never become accustomed to," "she never thought she'd become accustomed to having bodyguards" or "she thought she'd never become accustomed to having bodyguards." The last two seem more natural to me than the first for a native speaker of American English.

There is certainly an error somewhere, but another possibility is "having bodyguards wasn't something she thought she’d ever become accustomed to."

You're right, Gengo. That one slipped by me. As a university professor who once had an armed bodyguard (provided by the university), I concur with the sentiment, regard less of how it is expressed.
