    Hello

Would you please come up with a phrase or word to be used interchangeably with " someone doesn't have what it takes to do something" as in:

-'He doesn't have what it takes to be president': Trump hits back at Mitt Romney.
-They do not have what it takes to carry out the project.

    Many thanks

    -'
He doesn't have the skills needed to be president': Trump hits back at Mitt Romney.
-'He is not good enough to be president': Trump hits back at Mitt Romney.

-They are talented enough to carry out the project.
-They are well equipped to carry out the project.
